The water and beach access along the Chesapeake Bay front and the popular dog beach at Downs Park (located at 8311 Anita Dr, Pasadena, MD) are temporarily closed for a large-scale shoreline repair and restoration project. 

The closures and current status updates include:

• Current Status: The shoreline area is currently closed to allow for shoreline protection construction, storm damage repair from past storms, and the relocation and expansion of the dog beach to make it fully ADA-compliant. 

• Timeline: The beach and water access points are expected to remain closed until August. 

• Other Activities: While the beach itself is inaccessible, the rest of Downs Park remains open, including its extensive, shaded paved walking trails, visitor center, and playground.
